1,200 stones on 32 chains
The centrepiece in the foyer is the stone circle. Like a string of pearls, stones from Silvretta are threaded onto steel ropes. They let us feel the compact rock of the mountains and also show their vulnerability through the chain that can be set in motion with a finger. Natural beauty and natural disasters are close together.
Alabaster facade
Above the entrance, 12 tons of alabaster stones (Tuscany) were filled between two steel nets. The white stones call to mind snow and avalanches and remind us of the origins of the Alpinarium. Depending on the time of day, different lighting moods are created through this façade in the foyer.
