In the KIDZ PAZ NOWn project, schools, society and science work closely together. Funded by the National Committee Global Change, Austria. At the Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), we are jointly developing ideas on how Paznaun and its surroundings can be strengthened with regard to future climate and water-related challenges.
Vernissage: Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 7 p.m. in the Alpinarium Galtür
Exhibition period: December 11, 2024 to April 21, 2025
How do young people and researchers think about water, precipitation, climate, mental health and sustainable development? As part of the KIDZ PAZ-NOWn project and joint excursions to the Jamtal, thematic workshops and their own research projects, creative scientific works are being created by around 70 students. The results of the collaboration between school, science and society are being presented in a visually appealing and interactive way as part of a scientific and artistic exhibition.
We cordially invite you to the ceremonial vernissage on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Alpinarium Galtür Our Tyrolean governor Anton Mattle will open the exhibition.
Many contributors will be present and hope for a lively exchange with the visitors. The Alpinarium Galtür - an exhibition space with history, present and future - a high alpine museum that depicts the diversity and beauty of alpine life in West Tyrol and at the same time, as a robust avalanche protection wall, commemorates its vulnerability in the Galtür avalanche winter of 1999. The exhibition can be visited until mid-April 2025. We would like to thank everyone involved - the BORG Landeck, the PTS Landeck and the MS Paznaun, the Alpinarium Galtür, the Kulturnetz Tirol as well as the University of Innsbruck and the Medical University of Innsbruck. The exhibition is made possible by the financial support of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) and the Sparkasse Imst Privatstiftung AG.
